Hybrid Learning Program 2026-2027

Posted Date: 03/17/26 (04:41 PM)

Hardin High School Parents and Guardians,

Please take a moment to complete our Hybrid Learning Survey by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, March 22nd.
This survey will help us prepare for the 2026–2027 school year.

Hardin High School is exploring the possibility of offering a Hybrid Learning Program beginning in the 2026–2027 school year.
This program would allow students to take some classes online while still attending school in person each day. Students would remain fully enrolled at Hardin High School and would be supported by:

  • A Texas-certified virtual teacher
  • A Hardin ISD Hybrid Coordinator who monitors student progress and provides support
Survey: https://forms.gle/3NpyGQbt3SvRt4E26

Key Information About the Proposed Program

  • Freshmen would not be eligible
  • Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors may apply
  • During a student’s first year in the program, they may enroll in up to three virtual classes
  • If a student demonstrates success for one full school year, they may be eligible to take one additional virtual class the following year (up to four total virtual classes)
  • Students must attend at least three classes in person on campus each day
  • Virtual courses will be calculated using the standard 4.0 GPA scale
  • STAAR-tested subjects cannot be taken virtually. Courses required for STAAR testing must be taken in person on campus.
  • Students will be reviewed after the first six weeks grading period to ensure adequate academic progress
  • If a student begins to fall behind, interventions and additional support will be implemented with the Hybrid Coordinator
  • If a student continues to struggle after a second grading period, a parent and student conference will take place and a performance contract may be put in place
  • If expectations in the contract are not met, the student may return to full in-person instruction the following semester

This survey is not a commitment to enroll. Its purpose is simply to determine how much interest exists in this opportunity before final program decisions are made.

Survey results will help Hardin High School determine whether there is enough interest to move forward with the Hybrid Learning Program for the 2026–2027 school year.

Thank you for your partnership and input as we plan for the future of Hardin High School.
